SCS welding protection glass is used for light flame cutting, brazing and hard welding, MIG, MAG, TIG, plasma methods.
The mirrored glass additionally reflects part of the infrared radiation.
It is mainly recommended when welding in closed cabins and / or when using extreme amperages. Our black glass is also used to observe the solar eclipse because of its UV protection. Which protection level is suitable for each method can be found at our separate data sheet.

SCS welding protection glass is available in protection levels ranging from grade 2 to 15.

All products are certified and meet the safety and health requirements established by EU Regulation 2016/425. The production of the most commonly used protection levels 5, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 11 coated is additionally certified by DIN Certco Berlin Germany.

We can offer rectangular formats up to the size of 1050 × 900 mm, round formats from ⌀ 25 mm to 180 mm, and special dimensions of eyeglass frames in the „FORM“ style based on customer requests. The most common glass thickness is 2.7 ± 0.3 mm.

Environments / Applications

Furnace sight glasses are used in factories that produce or process refractories, e.g. in iron or steel smelters, glassworks, foundries and in the chemical, porcelain and ceramics industries. There, our oven sight glasses are used for personal protective equipment such as hand shields, goggles or headscreens and also as glare protection from working cranes and cupolas.

Environments / Applications

The cover glass are placed in front of the welding protection glass so that the glass does not become blind due to the metal splashes that occur during welding or burn splinters.

Environments / Applications

The cover lense CR 39® is placed in front of the welding protection glass.
It prevents the burning of metal splashes. It gives a very long service life, hence the name „1,000 hour glass“.

Our team worked since 1997 at Schott AG in the Sales and Product Management of Welding Protection Filters. After focussing on the supply of Athermal and Neothem, we established our company on March 1st, 2011 when these well known brands were discontinued by Schott.
We currently supply Welding Protection Filters produced by SEVEROSKLO (SCS) plus Neotherm Furnace Observation Glass (residual Schott stock) throughout Germany, Europe and overseas. Further products of the welding sector are available on individual request.
